Ignasi has been managing innovation projects for public entities, technological centres and companies for the past 10 years. He now works on the development of products and solutions that may be included in the Worldsensing portfolio. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Catalonia and Masters (MSc) in Cognitive Systems, Interaction and Media from the Pompeu Fabra University.

Our rail industry experts will share:

  1. The common challenges in rail infrastructure monitoring
  2. An overview of how you may deploy an IoT-based wireless monitoring system to monitor:
    – lateral displacement due to slope or subsoil instability
    – rock fall
    – track conditions such as can’t, twist and height variation
    – pore water pressure and water level variations associated with vertical displacement and bearing capacity of the soil
    – vertical displacement linked to soil settlement
    – soil cracks that can lead to soil failure
  3. Sample use cases and actual experiences from rail project deployments
  4. Other useful information in a live Q&A session
